SICORLIS initiated its activity in April 1994, with facilities in Ovar (Cortegaça) and Lisbon (Cacém), in order to distribute the products of SICOR Group in Portugal. The company emerged from the need to consolidate the distribution network for the wide range of SICOR Group products in Portugal, fostering proximity to the Portuguese clients.
SICORLIS focuses its activity essentially on the maritime, civil construction, metalworking and retail sectors. In addition to SICOR® products, it also sells all types of steel wire, chain slings, polyester belts, galvanized and high strength chains.
Every single product sold by SICORLIS is certified and the safety nets - manufactured by SICORNETE - are to date the only ones produced in Portugal with certification. The company also offers an assistance service that includes a periodic inspection of in stock products for its clients.
SICOR International, Ltd
SICOR International initiated its activity in 1994 in Aberdeen and has mainly specialized in providing Scotland's fishing industry as well as off-shore markets. In 1997, a new warehouse was opened in Bridport, West Dorset, in order to expand the distribution of SICOR® products manufactured in Portugal.
SICOR International had and has a very important role in SICOR Group internationalization strategy especially in the United Kingdom markets, and has a diversified product portfolio that includes twisted and braided twines, mooring lines, ropes and cordons, baler and horticultural twines. Also includes sports, security and protection nets, and even complete fishing net systems.
SICORNETE - Fios e Redes, Lda.
SICORNETE is a production unit of SICOR Group, founded in 1990, and intended for nets production. Initially, it focused its production on trawl fishing nets, however in 1993 it continued its development and built its current facilities in São Pedro do Sul, initiating the activities at the new industrial unit in 1994.
As a result of its commitment to sustainable growth, SICORNETE became involved in the development of products for other business areas, the most significant of which are sports nets, safety nets and fibers for incorporation and reinforcement of composite materials.
Bearing in mind that the most important investment relies on the continuous training of its employees, on cutting edge technology and on a Quality Policy of excellence, SICORNETE has recently invested in the renovation of its machinery and infrastructure, as well as in the qualification of its employees. In compliance with SICOR, SICORNETE is also certified under the ISO 9001-2015 Standard.
